The Lord has provided me with a tremendous family. God gave me a wonderful wife. Christy and I were married October 17, 1998. The Lord has since blessed our home with four great children here on earth, and one in Heaven. Jonathan, Joshua, Hannah, and Justus are a bundle of joy and excitement. We thank God for them. They bring such joy and meaning to our life. Please pray for our family as we serve the Lord.

Dr. Lawson's Testimony

God has been very good to me. I had the privilege of being born into a Christian home. My father was saved the year before I was born. My parents loved the Lord with all their heart and have served Him in faithful service. I am thankful for Godly parents who taught me about the things of the Lord. I had the great privilege of going with my parents, (Tom) Linzy and Dolly Lawson to the mission field of Jamaica. We left for the island during my latter teenage years. It was wonderful to have been there for over five years.

Months, then years began to go by, but the Holy Spirit began to work in my heart about my personal need for Salvation. Every time an invitation would be given the Lord would deal with me. I would raise my hand slightly when the preacher would say, "If you are saved please lift your hand that you know heaven is your home." I knew in my heart that I was not saved. I just wanted those around me to see my hand, as well as the preacher. From the ages of five to ten, I knew I needed to place my faith in Jesus and ask Him for forgiveness of my sins.

Dr. Terry Lawson

The greatest day in my life was March 15, 1977. It is the day I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I had come to the end of self. I went to school that morning and the Lord was working in my heart. I began to cry and my teacher asked me if there was a problem. I told her that I was alright. I finally asked her if I could talk with our assistant principal who was a preacher. When he came, I told him that I wanted to get saved! He took the Bible and showed me the Scriptures in the book of Romans. (Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 10:9; 10, 13) After he shared with me the Word of God, I bowed my head and asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and to come into my heart and life so I would not have to go to Hell. I am thankful to say He SAVED ME! The Lord was true to His promise in Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." AMEN!!!

I began to play the piano and sing when I was twelve. The Lord began to work in my heart during my later teenage years about preaching the Word of God. After several months of God's working in my heart, I surrendered to the call to preach. On January 26, 1986, I stood before the church and told them of God's call on my life. I preached my first meeting just over a week later. I have now had the opportunity to serve as an Associate Pastor, Interim Pastor, Evangelist, and a Pastor for 25 years. Praise the Lord!!! Thank God for the souls that I have been able to see come to Christ and for the Christians that have been encouraged to continue in the Lord.
